If you was mesmerized by the original Wizard of Oz and star struck by the 1978 reincarnation, The Wiz, chances are, you are going to be in a total shock as to what the 2015 version of The Wiz Live has in store for its viewers.

NBC adaptation will house the biggest stars of our generation making this musical one to remember. The “live” show will be televised 3 December 2015 at 8pm!

The cast includes some of your favorite stars such as Neo, Mary J. Blige, Common, David Alan Grier, Amber Riley, Uzo Aduba  and Queen Latifah. Special guest will even include cast members from the original Wiz like Stephanie Mills who played Dorothy from the Broadway show years ago.

Expect huge changes in this production but familiar vibes that brings you back to your childhood. This family oriented, musical will feature an updated sound that will be catchy to people of all ages. If you’re into the new dance, be prepared to get served by legendary choreographer Fatima Robinson. If you don’t know, she helped recreate legends happy feet such as Michael Jackson. In this feature she is going to focus on street dance. You shouldn’t be surprised if you get the urge to hit the “quan” in your living room.

Song writers like Ne-Yo has given this production a makeover providing new sounds that will be revitalized year after year. If you don’t know Ne-Yo, maybe you know some of the songs he wrote for other superstar artists like Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” or Rhianna’s “Unfaithful”. That being said, Ne-Yo’s song writing skills will capture you ears and the bring out the essence which is The Wiz.

Visually, “The Wiz Live” will keep you at the edge of your seat with live actions stunts provided by Cirque du Soleil. Founded in 1984, Cirque du Soleil is the largest theatrical producer in the world. That being said this will surely be entertaining.
