5 Ways to Stay Motivated

Spread the word

It’s tough to stay motivated with your workout sometimes. Inclement weather, holidays, and other things can put a hold on your motivational goals. Check out these 5 ways to stay motivated during your workout.

Say No to Cardio

Cardio is great but it’s not the answer. Too much cardio exercises can possibly hinder your progress. This hindrance could cause injury and also slow down your metabolic calorie burn. Perform high intensity interval training (HIIT) to help burn more calories in a short amount of time.

Step off the scale

Just because your body weight is low, doesn’t mean you’re in top physical condition. Instead of focusing on the pounds of your body, pay attention to the muscle to fat ratio. This can help determine your overall health.

If it feels right, do it

There is more than one way to skin a cat. In other words there are a ton of workouts that will help you get to your goals. Some of these training regiments will be easier than others. If you find one that is in your fitness range, stick to it until you get strong enough to advance.

You want mood swings

Everyone wants to look good but a lot of us forget how to feel good. Pay attention to your body as it goes through the changes from becoming healthier. Those are the changes you will notice first. Moving faster and not being winded by a flight of stairs are key indicators that you’re getting stronger.

Change it up

It may not feel like it, but your body gets immune to stress faster than you know it. If your hard training sessions are becoming easier, spice it up a little bit. Combining strength training along with cardio is one of a few combinations you can use to keep the calories burning.
