Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the best movie thus far.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now in theaters as of 15 December 2017 and it is incredible! In this movie, “I saw raw, untamed power, and beyond that.” The Supreme Leader Snoke took the words right out of my mouth. He might have used the Force!  

Get your Cosplay Ready!

The anticipation is no longer on hold. Disney’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi cosplayers took to the streets ready and willing to do battle with the dark side in the quest to be The Last Jedi.

Director Rian Johnson, who is known for movies such as Looper and Brick, gave us a film you might have to see twice. Of course, this is my opinion and I don’t want to give any spoilers so I’m just going to tell you who you can expect to see on the big screen.

Luke the Original Gangsta

Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamil) is an expected cast member. In The Force Awakens he barely got any screen time, only appearing at the end of the movie. For all you noobs who may not know his role, Luke was main character in the O.G. Star Wars Trilogy. Once an ordinary farmer, who knew he would one day become a Jedi master. Secluding himself from the galaxy, it would seem he is giving opposition to Rey who seems to be in dire need of his assistance.

Rey, a drop of golden sun

Rey (Daisy Ridley) is to be the equivalent of Luke Skywalker. Making her appearance in The Force Awakens, she started from the bottom as an orphan and arrived at the top, tackling the First Order as the face of the Resistance. Looking at the previous movie, it is clear that the force is strong with this one, hence the reason she seeks Skywalker’s assistance. Unfortunately for her it would seem Luke is stingy with his knowledge and it may lead her to seek help by any means necessary. 

The show must go on!

Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) was once a princess (damsel in distress) and now she’s head honcho/General of the Resistance.  Being casted as one of the original characters next to Skywalker, her brother, this will be her last film in the series due to her passing. 

Pew Pew

Finn (John Boyega) was once a Stormtrooper but joined the Resistance. It seems like everyone is stepping their game up now a days… This gun slinger will play an intricate role with the First Order considering that they are coming for him. The role he will be playing is the question at hand.

Emo

Ben Solo/Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is a combination/abomination of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia Organa. As the apprentice of Luke, the emo Jedi turned to the Dark Side collaborating with Supreme Leader Snoke. Kylo Ren is responsible for the death of the charismatic Han Solo. After the super-powered beat down in The Force Awakens, I wonder if this is a wake-up call for him to leave the Dark Side.

The real reason why you are here

BB-8 is Poe Dameron’s (Oscar Isaac) right hand Android. This beloved robot will surely get some screen time being loved by many fans such as myself. As for Poe, the X-wing pilot who destroyed his plane, he will continue to be an asset to the Resistance under the tutelage of Leia.
