Will Dillashaw or Cruz Prove to be the Real Champion?
Written by A.G Lee
Its almost that time fight fans as Dominick Cruz (10-1 UFC) is set to take on bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw (8-2 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 81. This fight goes down as a stripped champion set to take on the person who is the undisputed champion in his place. As Dominick Cruz has stated that TJ Dillashaw is just a placeholder until he gets his belt back giving fans that same impression after his UFC 178 win over Takeya Mizugaki (10-7 UFC) on September 27th of 2014.
But many fans cannot count out TJ Dillashaw as he said that he hasn’t stolen Dominick Cruzs style, but has found ways to make it better and also use it better than the former champion. Especially after using that same style to dethrone bantamweight kingpin Renan Barao (10–2 UFC) and then also defending it against him at UFC on Fox Dillashaw vs Barao 2 in Chicago Illinois.
With Styles so similar could this all just come down to who is better at the ground game as both of them are extremely dominant wrestlers and Dominick Cruz having the edge in ground game improvisation at any point in time. Or maybe this might be TJ Dillashaw from opening bell to closing bell as it seems that he possesses more power in the striking game having TKO’s or KO’s in five of his last six wins.
We guess we’ll find out the answer on January 17th in Boston Massachusetts at UFC Fight Night Dillashaw vs Cruz. But until then give us your thoughts on who you think might win the epic class and how they might win.
