Spider-Man Homecoming 2017 Blu-Ray Review

So if I were to rate this movie,  I would give it 5 of 5 stars. I’m not sure of how the pros review their movies but my results are based off of the Action and Story for the most part.

Now if you’re not too familiar with this movie, it takes place after the Captain America: Civil War. Spider-Man/Peter Parker is back in his hometown cleaning the streets of crime under Ironman/Tony Stark’s supervision. Spider-Man (Tom Holland) is on his own to find his place in the world among aliens, super villains, and thugs, at the same time managing his relationships, school work, and friendships. In his quest to prove to Ironman (Robert Downey Jr.) that he has what it takes to become an Avenger, he ends up getting twisted in a love triangle between his arch enemy The Vulture (Michael Keaton) and his high school crush Liz (Laura Harrier).

Before seeing this movie, I thought it was going to be a reboot staring Ironman. Think about it, seeing all the trailers and Tony Stark in every clip, who didn’t think it was going to be saturated with plasma canons.

The movie took me by surprise and was actually original. We didn’t have to go into an origin story because we all know Spider-Man needs no introduction.

We got a new villain, Vulture, played by an old hero, Batman…I mean Micheal Keaton who never fails in his roles as an awesome actor. His portrayal of the Vulture was so sinister and creepy that it made my skin crawl when he mentioned protecting his family.

The visual effects, the stunts and the cast were amazing. I don’t think I could have asked for a better movie for Spider-Man. I’m not saying the previous movies were garbage but Marvel knows how to put on a production by sticking to the script and putting their own twist to the plot.

Overall all, this movie is fun and friendly for all ages. The Blu-Ray’s Special Features are worth the look  and Aunt May is hot. I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants to catch up on the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
